The agreement
Reverie is provided by BetterFly AI LTD, a company registered in Israel, 42 Moriya St., Ramat Gan 5238171, Israel (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Reverie, you accept these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data and is part of this agreement.
If you do not accept these Terms, please do not use Reverie.
The service
Reverie is a dream journal. You write or dictate your dreams, and Reverie, an artificial intelligence, offers a reading of each one, talks with you about them, remembers them over time, and shows you the patterns that emerge.
Reverie is currently offered free of charge. If we ever introduce paid features, we will tell you clearly before you pay anything, and these Terms will say so. Reverie evolves: we may add, change or remove features, and we will tell you in advance when a change significantly affects how you use it.
Who can use Reverie
You must be at least 18 years old to use Reverie.
You may use Reverie only for yourself, for personal and non-commercial purposes.
Your account
Give a real email address that you can access, and keep your password (or the Apple or Google account you sign in with) to yourself. Your account is personal: do not share it or let anyone else use it. You are responsible for what is done with it.
If you think someone else has accessed your account, change your password and tell us through the Support page.
You can delete your account at any time in the app (see the Privacy Policy). Deletion is permanent.
Your dreams belong to you
Everything you write or say in Reverie (your dreams, your messages, your details) remains yours. We claim no ownership over it.
To run Reverie, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process and transmit your content, only to provide Reverie to you: to keep your journal, to have your dreams read by the AI providers named in the Privacy Policy, and to show you the results. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for the limited time it takes to remove it from our backups.
The readings and replies Reverie writes for you are yours to keep and use for your own purposes.
You are responsible for what you share. Do not put in Reverie content you have no right to share, or personal information about other people beyond what your own dreams naturally contain.
Readings are reflections, not advice
Reverie’s readings, replies and insights are produced by artificial intelligence. They are reflections to think with, possibilities rather than facts. They can be wrong, incomplete or surprising.
Reverie is not a doctor, a psychologist or a therapist. It provides no medical, psychological, psychiatric or therapeutic advice, diagnosis or treatment, and is not a substitute for a professional. Do not rely on a reading to make decisions about your health, your safety or your life. If your dreams or your nights weigh on you, talk to a health professional.
Reverie is not a crisis service. If you are in distress or thinking about harming yourself, please reach out to someone now. In Israel, ERAN offers emotional first aid at 1201, day and night. Elsewhere, findahelpline.com lists free, confidential helplines in your country. If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.
If a reading or a reply seems wrong, hurtful or inappropriate, please report it: from the dream’s menu (“Report this reading”), or by pressing and holding Reverie’s reply in the chat. We read every report.
Acceptable use
When using Reverie, you agree not to:
- break the law, or use Reverie to harass, threaten or harm anyone;
- try to access another person’s account or data, or the systems behind Reverie;
- copy, scrape, resell or reverse engineer Reverie, or access it by automated means;
- overload or disrupt the service, or get around its limits or security;
- push Reverie’s AI to produce unlawful, hateful or dangerous content, or try to extract its instructions;
- impersonate someone else.
What belongs to us
Reverie itself (its name, design, illustrations, texts and software) belongs to BetterFly AI or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the Reverie app on devices you own or control, under these Terms and, for the app stores, under their usage rules.
App Store and Google Play
If you downloaded Reverie from Apple’s App Store, these Terms are between you and BetterFly AI, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Reverie or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and, to the extent permitted by law, has no warranty obligation for it. If Reverie fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. BetterFly AI, not Apple, is responsible for handling any claims relating to Reverie, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection and intellectual property claims. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
If you downloaded Reverie from Google Play, Google’s terms for Google Play also apply to your download.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Reverie and delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these Terms, or when the law requires it. Except in urgent cases (fraud, security, or harm to others), we will tell you first and give you a chance to explain or to save your dreams. If we ever stop offering Reverie, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance.
Our responsibility
We take great care over Reverie, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”: we cannot promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors, or that a reading will be accurate or suited to you.
To the extent permitted by law, BetterFly AI is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of data, profit or opportunity, and our total liability for any claim relating to Reverie is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 100 US dollars.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Any dispute will be brought before the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel.
If you are a consumer living in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country, and you may bring a claim before the courts where you live. Before going to court, please write to us: most problems can be solved simply.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Reverie evolves or the law changes. We will update the date at the top and, for any significant change, tell you in the app before it applies. If you do not accept the new Terms, you can delete your account before they take effect.
General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Reverie. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. If we do not enforce a right at once, we do not give it up. We may transfer this agreement as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case your rights under it continue; you may not transfer it without our consent.
